Let's discuss some of the more important things that brides getting married in Hawaii need to consider. There are many differences between putting together a destination wedding as opposed to one at home.

A couple simple tips to start with:

1. Press your dress once you've arrived on your destination island.

2. If you plan on being outside at all, decide on a good hairstyle that can withstand wind (especially on Maui.)

3. Everything in Hawaii costs more than on the mainland, so plan on it when budgeting.

4. Do some research ahead of time on what type of poses you'd like to do for photos. Your photographer will have plenty of ideas, but not all of them will match your style. Go through wedding magazines and put together a folder of your favorites.

5. Decide on groupings for photos that you must have. Designate at least 1 person, that knows everyone, to gather guests up for pictures. This is easier said than done, so 2 or more people would be great. Your photographer most likely wont know who Aunt Joanne is.

That's good for starters. I hope other people will add on to this. The better prepared our brides are, the easier and smoother everything will go.

Here's a couple more that pertain more Maui Weddings. ALOHA!
Another good one:

Ladies, please be careful to not get bathing suit tan lines. If you have a strapless dress, I suggest getting a strapless bikini for your first portion of the stay here in Hawaii . You know you'll be enjoying the beach before the wedding, and it's time intensive and near impossible to photoshop tan lines out of every picture.

You'll get a lot more good shots if you prepare for this ahead of time. Aloha!
