Aloha Everyone,
My name is Kris, and my Cindy and I fell in love with the island of Maui on our first visit there back in '06. We've been back numerous times since, and as I've picked up photography as a hobby, I find myself taking better photos each trip I go back.
Our most recent trip to Maui was back in '09 for the Maui Photo Festival and Workshops, which was my first time at that sort of photography event and I really enjoyed networking and meeting with other visiting photographers and those Maui residents who do this for a living.
Even though we currently live in Chicago, my head is usually floating around the Aloha State. It's pretty easy to do now that I've been running the Daily Maui Photo website for almost a year now. It's been a great chance to talk story to other Maui fans on Facebook and Twitter on a regular basis, and keep tabs on friends living on the Valley Isle.
It's also helped me expand on my other passions (web/software development) as I've put together numerous ways to get your "daily dose of Aloha," including an iPhone app, WordPress plug-in, and the usual Facebook, Twitter, RSS, and email. I've also put together the Maui by Poster eBook recently, which was a fun little side project as well.
It's been awhile since I've posted anything on this particular site, but I hope to change that soon.

More About Me
I'm a professional software developer by trade, but in my spare time, I'm a web developer, blogger, and photographer. My first taste of photography was on our honeymoon on Oahu in '04, with a now very obsolete Sony Cybershot. Boy, 2MP doesn't go very far these days.
I do have a few websites that I'd like to share if anyone is interested. First is my photography site, photonelly.com. It's still relatively new and not as extensive as some of the links I've seen from others here.
The second site is my attempt at "Sharing the Magic of Maui" with the world, Ka'anapali Dreamin'. While I don't live on Maui (yet), I frequent quite of few Hawaii blogs and am a regular participant in the growing Hawaii social media group using Twitter.
The last one is Maui by Photo. Here, visitors are guided back to their favorite moments and Maui Memories through my photos from across the island. For each location featured, you can talk story and share your own memories with others. Be sure to check it out, leave a few comments, and help spread the word.
