Thought I would post this notice from Earth Hour about everybody turning off their lights for one hour in the evening of March 28, 2009. It's a global initiative. Here's the details: http://www.earthhour.org/

Great idea! Perhaps we can add to this blog post by mentioning other small ways to help our planet and islands.
1 idea I heard of recently was to have a bucket in your shower. While you're getting your shower to the right temp, fill up the bucket and use it later to water your plants. This is a great way to save a ton of water, which is always a concern here on Maui.
